The Standing Committee on Finance met at 11:03 a.m. this day, in Room C-160, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mark Adler, Hon. Scott Brison, Guy Caron, Raymond Côté, Shelly Glover, Randy Hoback, Brian Jean, Cathy McLeod, Peggy Nash, James Rajotte and Murray Rankin.

Acting Members present: Jay Aspin for Dave Van Kesteren.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Mark Mahabir, Analyst.

Witnesses: Library of Parliament: Sonia L'Heureux, Interim Parliamentary Budget Officer; Mostafa Askari, Assistant Parliamentary Budget Officer, Economic and Fiscal Analysis, Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer; Sahir Khan, Assistant Parliamentary Budget Officer, Expenditure and Revenue Analysis, Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer; Chris Matier, Senior Director, Economic and Fiscal Analysis and Forecasting, Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of economic and fiscal outlook.

Sonia L'Heureux made a statement and, with Mostafa Askari, Sahir Khan and Chris Matier, answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That notwithstanding the calendar of activities adopted on March 17, 2013, the Committee undertakes the following studies on these dates: May 2nd: The Estimates; May 7th: Bill C-462; May 9th: Budget Implementation Act.

At 12:03 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
