The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met in camera at 3:36 p.m. this day, in Room 7-52, 131 Queen Street, the Chair, the Hon. Rob Moore, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Ray Boughen, Marjolaine Boutin-Sweet, Gordon Brown, Paul Calandra, Andrew Cash, Matthew Dubé, Jim Hillyer, Hon. Rob Moore, Pierre Nantel, Blake Richards, Scott Simms and Terence Young.

 

Acting Members present: Rodney Weston for Terence Young.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michael Dewing, Analyst; Marion Ménard, Researcher.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, the Committee resumed its study on the status of amateur coaching in Canada.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Status of Amateur Coaching in Canada".

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report a supplementary opinion, from the New Democratic Party, provided that it is no more than two (2) pages in length and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than Monday, March 25, 2013.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House as soon as possible.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the meeting on Monday, March 25, 2013 be cancelled.

 

It was agreed, — That the meeting on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, be devoted to the consideration of the draft report in relation to the study on the Canadian entertainment software industry.

 

At 4:00 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
