The Standing Committee on Finance met at 11:08 a.m. this day, in Room 269 West Block, the Chair, Massimo Pacetti, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Rona Ambrose, Don H. Bell, Guy Côté, Charles Hubbard, Yvan Loubier, John McKay, Maria Minna, Brian Pallister, Charlie Penson and Judy Wasylycia-Leis.

 

Acting Members present: Richard Harris for Monte Solberg.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Principal; Alexandre Laurin, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada: Nicholas Le Pan, Superintendent of Financial Institutions; Donna Pasteris, Assistant Superintendent, Corporate Services.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2005-2006: Vote 35 under FINANCE referred to the Committee on Friday, February 25, 2005.
 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(7), the Committee commenced consideration of the PART III: Report on Plans and Priorities 2005-2006 of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada.
 
Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Annual Report 2003-2004 of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada, referred to the Committee on October 7, 2004.
 

Nicholas Le Pan made a statement and answered questions.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2005-2006: Votes 1, 5, 10, L15, 30 and 35 under FINANCE referred to the Committee on Friday, February 25, 2005.
 
Putting of the question on the Votes 1, 5, 10, L15, 30 and 35 under FINANCE referred to the Committee on Friday, February 25, 2005.
 

The chair proceeded to the putting of the question on the votes under FINANCE of the Main-Estimates 2005-2006.

Vote 1 less the amount voted in interim supply agreed to on division.

Vote 5 less the amount voted in interim supply agreed to on division.

Vote 10 less the amount voted in interim supply agreed to on division.

Vote L15 less the amount voted in interim supply agreed to on division.

Vote 30 less the amount voted in interim supply agreed to on division.

Vote 35 less the amount voted in interim supply agreed to on division.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Votes 1, 5, 10, L15, 30 and 35, less the amounts voted in Interim Supply, under FINANCE to the House.
