The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 3:36 p.m. this day, in Room 269 West Block, the Chair, Massimo Pacetti, presiding.

Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations 2004.

Georgina Steinsky-Schwartz, Jean Christie, Tad Brown, Hilary Pearson, Monica Patten, Malcolm Burrows, Marjolaine Lalonde made statements, and with Laurie Rektor, answered questions.

At 5:09 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:16 p.m., the sitting resumed.

PANEL 5: ABORIGINAL CANADIANS

Richard Jock, Robert Walsh, Tony Belcourt, Mary Palliser, Jennifer Dickson and Dwight Dorey made statements and answered questions.

At 6:19 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
