The Subcommittee on the Estimates Process of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 5:40 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Co-Chair, Tony Valeri, presiding.
Members of the Subcommittee present: Gilles-A. Perron, Paul Szabo and Tony Valeri.
Acting Member present: Ken Epp for Gerry Ritz.
Other Member present: Reg Alcock.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Philippe Le Goff, Analyst, Jack Stilborn, Analyst. From the Committees Directorate: Miriam Burke.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: Marlene Catterall, Ottawa West--Nepean; Paul Szabo, Mississauga South; John Williams, St. Albert.
Pursuant to the motion of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates adopted November 26, 2002, the Committee commenced a study to inquire into matters relating to the review of the process for considering the estimates and supply.
The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.
At 7:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
