The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 11:54 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Judi Longfield, presiding.
Member(s) of the Committee present: Libby Davies, Raymonde Folco, Monique Guay, Judi Longfield, Gurbax Malhi, Serge Marcil, Carol Skelton, Larry Spencer and Alan Tonks.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Kevin Kerr, Julie Mackenzie and Bill Young, Research Officers.
Witness(es): From the University of Western Ontario: Dr. Carol Agocs, Professor. From the University of British Columbia: William Black, Professor. From the Queen's University: Mary Margaret Dauphinee, Professor.
Pursuant to its Order of Reference dated December 3rd, 2001 and to section 44 of the Employment Equity Act, the Committee resumed consideration of the statutory review of the Act (See minutes of Proceedings of December11, 2001 – Meeting No.44)
The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.
At 1:08 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
