The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met at 11:05 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 308, West Block, the Chair, Brent St. Denis, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Roy Cullen, Jocelyne Girard-Bujold, Ovid L. Jackson, Jerry Pickard, Carmen Provenzano, Ben Serré and Brent St. Denis.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: : Jack Stilborn, Research Officer.

Witnesses: From Public Works and Government Services Canada: Jim Stobbe, Assistant Deputy Minister, Government Operational Services; Joan Catterson, Director General, Corporate Policy and Planning Sector, Government Operational Service Branch; Barry Lipsett, Director General, Supply Program Management Sector, Supply Operations Service Branch; François Brazeau, Director General, Office Accommodation Services and Real Estate Sector, Real Property Services Branch.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 108(2), consideration of Public Works and Government Services Canada's Performance Report for the period ending March 31, 1997.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 12:35 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
