Wednesday, October 21, 1998
The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 3:43 p.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Albina Guarnieri, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Diane Ablonczy, Bernard Bigras, Claudette Bradshaw, Bonnie Brown, Brenda Chamberlain, Hec Clouthier, Paul Crête, Libby Davies, Jean Dubé, Christiane Gagnon, John Godfrey, Albina Guarnieri, Larry McCormick, Maurice Vellacott and Bryon Wilfert.
Acting Members present: Deborah Grey for Dale Johnston, Bernard Patry for Denis Coderre and Joe Jordan and John O'Reilly.
Associate Member present: Yvon Godin.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Sandra Harder and Bill Young, Research Officers.
The Committee proceeded to discuss future business.
At 4:39 o'clock p.m. the sitting was suspended.
At 4:51 o'clock p.m. the sitting resumed.
It was agreed, -- That the Fourth Report of the Steering Committee on Agenda and Procedure be tabled till an adequate french version is available.
It was agreed, -- That the Auditor General be invited to appear as a witness, November 4th concerning Chapter 16 of his report on Management of the Social Insurance Number.
At 5:06 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
