The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 10:35 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 309, West Block, the Chair, Reg Alcock, presiding.

Pursuant to Standing Order 81(7), consideration of the 1998-99 Estimates, Part III - Report on Plans and Priorities, Human Resources Development Canada - Sessional paper No. 8520-361-116, laid upon the table on Wednesday, March 26, 1998.
The Committee met with a delegation from the Social Affairs Committee of the Chamber of the Representatives of the Italian Parliament.
At 11:34 o’clock a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:38 o’clock a.m., the sitting resumed.
The Minister made an opening statement and, with the witnesses, answered questions.
At 12:56 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
