The Standing Committee on Finance met at 9:12 o’clock a.m., this day, in the Highland Suites 7 and 8, World Trade Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Maurizio Bevilacqua, Dick Harris, Gary Pillitteri, Karen Redman, Nelson Riis and Paul Szabo.

Other Member present: Scott Brison.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its Pre-Budget Consultation Study. (See Minutes of Proceedings of Wednesday, October 15, 1997, Meeting No. 3).

At 10:33 o’clock a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:49 o’clock a.m., the sitting resumed.
