MINUTES OF PROCEEDING
(Meeting No. 4)

Thursday, October 30, 1997

The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 9:07 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 308 West Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Clifford Lincoln, John Godfrey, Joe Jordan, Dennis Mills, Pat O'Brien, Jacques Saada, Jim Abbott, Louis Plamondon, Suzanne Tremblay and Mark Muise.

Acting Members present: Louis Plamondon for Caroline St-Hilaire and Ivan Grose for Paul Bonwick..

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: René Lemieux and Susan Alter, Research Officers.

It was agreed, That the Committee hold a meeting on Bill C-7 on Thursday November 6, 1997.

Suzanne Tremblay moved, - That the Committee agree to the principle of a sub-committee on sports further to revisions to the terms of reference including powers, number of members, budget, reporting mechanisms, reporting dates and meeting times; and that the revised order of reference be submitted to the Committee for final approval.

And debate arising thereon;

At 10:50 o’clock a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
