The Standing Committee on the Status of Women met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 228, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Hélène LeBlanc, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Stella Ambler, Niki Ashton, Hélène LeBlanc, Tilly O'Neill Gordon, Djaouida Sellah, Susan Truppe, Terence Young and Wai Young.

 

Acting Members present: Joyce Murray for Kirsty Duncan and Lise St-Denis for Kirsty Duncan.

 

In attendance: House of Commons: Jean-François Pagé, Procedural Clerk. Library of Parliament: Martha Butler, Analyst; Laura Munn-Rivard, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: As an Individual: Carly Lambert-Crawford; Lisa LaBorde.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, the Committee resumed its study of eating disorders amongst girls and women.
 

Carly Lambert-Crawford, by videoconference from Oakville, Ontario, and Lisa LaBorde, by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, made statements and answered questions.

 

At 4:30 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:32 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That a section of the testimony of Dr. Wendy Spettigue be struck from the public record of the Committee meeting held Monday, February 24, 2014, including the evidence and the audio record, in order to preserve a patient’s anonymity.

 

At 4:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
