Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, April 29, 2024, the committee resumed its study of minority-language education continuum.

Daniel Giroux, Gisèle Bourque et Sylvianne Maisonneuve made statements and answered questions.

At 12:07 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:16 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the access to information request received by Public Services and Procurement Canada and communicated to the committee on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, requesting documents related to the committee’s proceedings that are not sensitive, the committee instruct the clerk to authorize disclosure of the blues from the meetings of January 28, 2021 and February 4, 2021, with the understanding that they remain protected by parliamentary privilege.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the access to information request received by Public Services and Procurement Canada and communicated to the committee on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, the clerk communicate to Public Services and Procurement Canada that the Committee has declined to authorize the disclosure of its correspondence.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 29, 2024, the committee resumed its study of language obligations related to the process of staffing or making appointments to key positions.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 1:03 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
