The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 1250.00, for the study of Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer's report on the research and comparative analysis on the Estimates of the Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs and the Department of Indigenous Services, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 15,650.00, for the study of subject matter of Bill C-45, An Act to amend the First Nations Fiscal Management Act, to make consequential amendments to other Acts, and to make a clarification relating to another Act, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the witnesses appearing on the study of the subject matter of Bill C-45, An Act to amend the First Nations Fiscal Management Act, to make consequential amendments to other Acts, and to make a clarification relating to another Act, testify for the full two hours, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Monday, May 1, 2023.

It was agreed, — That the committee allot six meetings for the study of the restitution of land to First Nations, Inuit, and Metis communities.

At 4:34 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:35 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 21, 2022, the committee resumed its study on improving graduation rates and successful outcomes for Indigenous students.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

At 5:04 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
