Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 20, 2020, the committee resumed its study of fraud calls in Canada.

Matthew Gamble and John Lawford made statements and answered questions.

At 11:57 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Kate Schroeder, by videoconference from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Randall Baran-Chong made statements and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

On motion of Brian Masse, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $29,500, for the study of subject matter of clauses 22 to 38 and 108 to 113 of Bill C-4, An Act to implement the Agreement between Canada, the United States of America and the United Mexican States, be adopted.

On motion of Brian Masse, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $39,300, for the study of the affordability and accessibility of telecommunications services, be adopted.

On motion of Brian Masse, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $7,300, for the study of fraud calls in Canada, be adopted.

At 1:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
