The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by Neil R. Ellis regarding a witness who submitted his expense claim to the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by MaryAnn Mihychuk regarding a witness who submitted his expense claim to the Standing Committee on Indigenous and Northern Affairs after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

It was agreed, — That the requests for reimbursement presented by Wayne Easter regarding two witnesses who submitted their expense claims to the Standing Committee on Finance after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

The Clerk gave a presentation of the financial status of the global envelope for committee activities.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study of Programs and Support Offered to Veterans and their Families in Other Jurisdictions and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study of Canada—United States Cooperation in Agriculture, provided that the number of Members participating in the travel not exceed seven, and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on International Trade to prepare detailed budgets related to its travel proposal for its study of Canada—United States Trade Relations, provided that the number of Members participating in the travel not exceed seven, and submit them to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study of M-39, Immigration to Atlantic Canada, and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study of Canada—U.S. Environment Partnerships and Transborder-Related Issues, and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study of The United States and Canadian Foreign Policy, provided that the number of Members participating in the travel not exceed seven, and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study of Marine Protected Areas, and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study of Canada—United States Cooperation in Innovation and Jobs Creation, provided that the number of Members participating in the travel not exceed seven, and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on National Defence to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study of Canadian Armed Forces’ Operations REASSURANCE and UNIFIER in Central and Eastern Europe, and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Natural Resources to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study of Clean Technology in Canada’s Natural Resources Sectors, provided that the number of Members participating in the travel not exceed seven, and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its studies of Canada’s National Security Framework, of Bill C-23, An Act respecting the preclearance of persons and goods in Canada and the United States and of Bill C-21, An Act to amend the Customs Act, and submit it to the Subcommittee for its consideration at its next meeting.

At 1:55 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
