The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

The Chair gave a presentation on the financial status of the global envelope for committee activities.

Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the Subcommittee resumed its study on budget submissions.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology be granted a supplementary study budget of $10,000 for its study of the Statutory Review of the Copyright Act.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans be granted a study budget of $51,500 for its study of the Regulation of the West Coast Fisheries.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights be granted a travel budget of $22,479.59 to travel to London, United Kingdom, in the Spring of 2019, in relation to the Modern Slavery Project: Legislative Drafting Seminar.

The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by Pat Finnigan regarding a witness who submitted his expense claim to the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by Hon. Mark Eyking regarding a witness who submitted his expense claim to the Standing Committee on International Trade after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

It was agreed, — That the two requests for reimbursement presented by Hon. Wayne Easter regarding witnesses who submitted their expense claims to the Standing Committee on Finance after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by Anita Vandenbeld regarding a witness who submitted her expense claim to the Subcommittee on International Human Rights of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on International Trade to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Priorities of Canadian Stakeholders Having an Interest in Bilateral and Trilateral Trade in North America, Between Canada, United States and Mexico, and submit it to the Subcommittee by February 25, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on International Trade to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its studies Priorities of Canadian Stakeholders Having an Interest in Bilateral and Trilateral Trade in North America, Between Canada, United States and Mexico and Impact of Tariffs on Canadian Businesses, Companies and Workers, and submit it to the Subcommittee by February 25, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study on Privacy of Digital Government Services, and submit it to the Subcommittee by February 25, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Rules-based International Order, and submit it to the Subcommittee by February 25, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Health to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study on Impacts of Methamphetamine Abuse in Canada, and submit it to the Subcommittee by February 25, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Canadian Transportation and Logistics Strategy (Trade Corridors), and submit it to the Subcommittee by February 25, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee invite the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities to prepare a detailed budget related to its travel proposal for its study Challenges Facing Flight Schools in Canada, and submit it to the Subcommittee by February 25, 2019.

At 1:25 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
