Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (3)(h)(vii), and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, the Committee proceeded to a briefing session with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada.

Gérald Cossette made a statement and, with Paul Dubrule, answered questions.

At 5:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:03 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Security of Canada Information Sharing Act (SCISA).

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Safeguarding Canada's National Security While Protecting Canadians' Privacy Rights: Review of the Security of Canada Information Sharing Act (SCISA)".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and Analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting and/or supplementary opinions be in Arial 12 point font, single space and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.

It was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the preliminary proposals to travel to Brussels, Belgium, Wilmslow, England, Paris, France, and Washington D.C., United States of America, in the Fall of 2017, in relation to the Committee’s study of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), be submitted to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee.

At 5:19 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
