Minutes of Proceedings
The Minister made a statement and, with Marie-Claude Juneau and Ted Gallivan, answered questions.
At 9:48 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 9:49 a.m., the sitting resumed.
Daniel Therrien made a statement and answered questions.
On motion of Alexandre Boulerice, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 22,500, for the study of the Privacy Act, be adopted.
On motion of Bob Bratina, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 22,500, for the study of the Access to Information Act, be adopted.
On motion of Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, it was agreed, — That the Committee suspend the study of the Privacy Act and dedicate all future meetings until the end of June to the Access to the Information Act, except for the study of Main Estimates 2016-2017 on May 3 and 10; and that the Committee issue a report to assist the President of the Treasury Board in his amendments to the Access to Information Act in the fall.
At 10:49 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
