The Standing Committee on Official Languages met at 8:45 a.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, the Hon. Michael D. Chong, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Mauril Bélanger, Tyrone Benskin, Hon. Michael D. Chong, Pierre Dionne Labelle, Yvon Godin, Jacques Gourde, Costas Menegakis, Élaine Michaud, John Weston and John Williamson.

Acting Members present: Stella Ambler for Bernard Trottier, Kyle Seeback for Ray Boughen and Robert Sopuck for Ray Boughen.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Lucie Lecomte, Analyst.

Witnesses: Fédération franco-ténoise: Claire Beaubien, Executive Director; Josianne Beaumont, Second Vice-President, Board of Directors; Léo-Paul Provencher, Past Executive Director. Association des francophones du Nunavut: Mylène Chartrand, Vice Chair, Board of Directors; Mathieu René, Director, Board of Directors. Fédération des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador: Jules Custodio, President; Gaël Corbineau, Director General. Canadian Institute for Research on Linguistic Minorities: Éric Forgues, Researcher.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, September 29, 2011, the Committee resumed its study on the evaluation of the Roadmap: improving programs and service delivery.

Claire Beaubien, Josianne Beaumont, Mylène Chartrand, Mathieu René, Jules Custodio and Éric Forgues made statements and, with Léo-Paul Provencher and Gaël Corbineau, answered questions.

At 9:45 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:48 a.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee resumed consideration of the evaluation of the Roadmap: improving programs and service delivery. Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 10:44 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
