The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 9:02 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Yasmin Ratansi, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Siobhan Coady, Richard Nadeau, Yasmin Ratansi and Chris Warkentin.

Acting Members present: Scott Armstrong for Rod Bruinooge, Paul Calandra for Patrick Brown, Nathan Cullen for Pat Martin, Don Davies for Pat Martin, Bob Dechert for Rod Bruinooge, Michel Guimond for Diane Bourgeois, Candice Hoeppner for Ed Holder, Guy Lauzon for Jacques Gourde and Alexandra Mendes for Martha Hall Findlay.

Associate Members present: Glenn Thibeault.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Édison Roy-César, Analyst . House of Commons: Melanie Mortensen, Parliamentary Counsel (Legal); Steven Chaplin, Acting Principal Parliamentary Counsel (Legal).

Witnesses: Green Power Generation Corporation: Rahim Jaffer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of renewable energy projects funded by the Government.

Rahim Jaffer made a statement and answered questions.

At 10:49 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:53 a.m., the Committee resumed sitting in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
