The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 9:03 a.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Kelly Block, Hon. Scott Brison, Robert Carrier, Russ Hiebert, Ted Menzies, Massimo Pacetti, Daniel Paillé, James Rajotte, Paul Szabo and Mike Wallace.

Acting Members present: Martha Hall Findlay for Hon. Scott Brison and Tony Martin for Thomas J. Mulcair.

Associate Members present: Peter Braid, Ron Cannan and Jack Harris.

Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations 2010.

Karen McBride, Wayne Morsky, Michael Conway, Donald Johnson and Dennis Howlett, made statements and, with Jennifer Humphries, Bill Ferreira, Peter Effer and Laurel Rothman, answered questions.

At 9:45 a.m., Massimo Pacetti took the Chair.

At 10:25 a.m., James Rajotte took the Chair.

At 10:32 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:36 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Sean Whittaker, Sharon Baxter, Michael Sangster, Susan Eng, Gillian Barnes, James M. Laws and Margo Ladouceur made statements and, with Michael Nicin and Ondina Love, answered questions.

At 12:09 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
