The Standing Committee on Finance met at 9:30 a.m. this day, in the Hampton Room A, B and C, Main Floor, Hampton Inn & Suites, Surrey, British Columbia, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Kelly Block, Bernard Généreux, Russ Hiebert, Massimo Pacetti, Daniel Paillé and James Rajotte.

 

Acting Members present: Don Davies for Thomas J. Mulcair.

 

Associate Members present: Dona Cadman and Cathy McLeod.

Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee commenced its pre-budget consultations 2010.
 

Hans Cunningham, Pierre Gratton, Laureen Whyte, Judith Guichon, Loretta Wallace, Hilla Kerner and Jeff Richards made statements and, with Gabe Miller, Ben Chalmers, Eira Thomas, Kevin Boon, and Joanne Curry, answered questions.

 

At 11:04 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:12 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Rhona Martin, Margaret Mason, Bart Given, Brenda Kenny, Asia Czapska and Shelagh Day, made statements and, with Donald Bassermann, Caryn Duncan and Laura Holland, answered questions.

 

At 12:39 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
