Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee resumed its study of fossil fuel subsidies.

It was agreed, — That the document entitled Opening Statement, presented to the committee by Grand Chief Stewart Phillip of the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs, be appended to the evidence of Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Eddy Pérez, Jerry V. DeMarco and Simon Langlois-Bertrand made statements and, with Heather Miller and Sylvie Marchand, answered questions.

At 12:04 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Christina Hoicka, Éric Pineault and Dan McTeague made statements and answered questions.

At 1:09 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
