Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2017-18: Vote 1 under Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying, Vote 1 under Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner, Vote 1 under Office of the Senate Ethics Officer and Votes 1 and 5 under Offices of the Information and Privacy Commissioners of Canada, referred to the Committee on Thursday, February 23, 2017.

The Chair called Votes 1 and 5 under Offices of the Information and Privacy Commissioners of Canada.

Daniel Therrien made a statement and, with Daniel Nadeau, answered questions.

At 4:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:32 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Suzanne Legault made a statement and, with Layla Michaud, answered questions.

At 4:48 p.m., Nathaniel Erskine-Smith took the Chair.

At 4:53 p.m., Blaine Calkins took the Chair.

The Committee resumed consideration of Vote 1 under Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying.

Vote 1 under Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying carried.

The Committee resumed consideration of Vote 1 under Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics commissioner.

Vote 1 under Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics commissioner carried.

The Chair called Vote 1 under Office of the Senate Ethics Officer.
