Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2018-19: Vote 1 under Communications Security Establishment, Votes 1, 5, and 10 under Department of National Defence, Vote 1 under Military Grievances External Review Committee, Vote 1 under Military Police Complaints Commission, Vote 1 under Office of the Communications Security Establishment Commissioner, referred to the Committee on Monday, April 16, 2018.

The Chair called Vote 1 under Department of National Defence.

The Minister made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 10:00 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:04 a.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

On motion of Sven Spengemann, it was agreed, — That the Committee approve the hospitality expenses for a dinner on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in honour of Guto Bebb, Minister for Defence Procurement, Parliament of United Kingdom.
