The Standing Committee on Finance met at 1:31 p.m. this day, in the Acadia A-B-C- Room, Casino Nova Scotia Hotel, Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Chair, Sue Barnes, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Scott Brison, Rahim Jaffer, Shawn Murphy and Bryon Wilfert.

 

Acting Members present: Peter Stoffer for Judy Wasylycia-Leis.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Principal; Stephen Laurent, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 83(1), the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations.
 

PANEL 1: Jeff Morrisson, Ron Legere, Gregory Kealey, Gwen Davies, Don McIver, Rev. Bob Britton, Rev. Jack Risk, Karen McGrath and Jim McMorran made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 2:57 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 3:00 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

PANEL II: Jan Greer Langley, Cheryl Brown, Mark Smith, Ken Bagnell, Manon Cormier-Viel, Jody Dallaire, Linda Gould and Monique MacMullin made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 4:12 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
