Monday, December 2, 2002

The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 3:45 p.m. this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Bernard Patry, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, Aileen Carroll, Stockwell Day, John Duncan, The Hon. Art Eggleton, John Harvard, Francine Lalonde, The Hon. Diane Marleau, Bernard Patry.

Acting Member present: Jason Kenney for Deepak Obhrai.

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg, Michael Holden, James Lee, Gerald Schmitz, Jay Sinha, Research Officers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of North American Integration and Canada's Role in the Light of New Security Challenges (See Minutes of Proceedings of October 28, 2002, Meeting No. 2).

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 5:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
