Wednesday, June 12, 2002
The Sub-Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Anita Neville, Tony Tirabassi.
Acting Members present: Larry Spencer for Reed Elley, Alan Tonks for Raymonde Folco.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Bill Young, Research Officer.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), the Sub-committee resumed its study of Canada Pension Plan Disability. (See Minutes of Proceedings of Tuesday April 9, 2002, Meeting no. 19).
It was agreed, -That the Sub-Committee hold a press conference to advertise the launch of the Sub-Committee’s Canada Pension Plan Disability informational website.
It was agreed, - That the Sub-Committee write to the Hon. Bill Graham, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Susan Whelan, Minister of International Cooperation, and the Hon. Denis Coderre, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, to communicate some considerations following a roundtable on disability and international issues on 16 April.
At 3:45 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
