Meeting No. 12
Tuesday, December 11, 2001
The Sub-Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in a televised session at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Wendy Lill, Anita Neville, Larry Spencer and Tony Tirabassi.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Bill Young and Kevin Kerr, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency: Alain Jolicoeur, Deputy Commissioner; Kathy Turner, Director General, Benefit Programs Directorate, Assessment and Collections Branch; David W. Miller, Assistant Commissioner, Assessment and Collections Branch.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Sub-Committee resumed its study of the current operation of the Disability Tax Credit form T2201, (See Minutes of Proceedings of Tuesday, November 27, 2001, Meeting no. 10).
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
At 4:15 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 4:17 p.m., by unanimous consent, the Sub-Committee proceeded to sit in camera.
It was agreed, — That the Sub-Committee publicly release an open letter on its study of the current operation of the Disability Tax Credit form T2201 from the Sub-Committee to the Honourable Martin Cauchon, Minister of National Revenue.
At 4:30 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
