The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met at 9:05 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mauril Bélanger, Pierre Brien, John Cannis, Bev Desjarlais, Walt Lastewka, Dan McTeague, Charlie Penson, Paddy Torsney, Susan Whelan.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Geoffrey P. Kieley, Research Officer.

Witnesses: From Bell Canada: Linda C. Gervais, Vice-President, Federal Government Relations. From "Pierre Morin Conseils Limitée": Pierre Morin, President. From Grey, Clark, Shih and Associates Limited: Peter Clark, President. From Hillwatch Inc.: Scott Proudfoot, Co-Chair; Michael Teeter, Co-Chair.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded to the Statutory Review of the Lobbyists Registration Act.

At 9:05 a.m., Linda Gervais made an opening statement, and answered questions.

At 9:55 a.m., Pierre Morin, Peter Clark, Scott Proudfoot and Michael Teeter each made an opening statement, and answered questions.

At 11:00 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
