The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in a televised session at 9:03 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Vice-Chair, Colleen Beaumier, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Bill Casey, John Harvard, Francine Lalonde, Diane Marleau, Keith Martin, Pat O'Brien, Deepak Obhrai, Denis Paradis, Svend Robinson, Monte Solberg.
Acting Members present: Robert Bertrand for Jean Augustine; Ivan Grose for Stan Keyes and Claude Drouin for Bernard Patry.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Lee.
Appearing: The Honourable John Manley, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Witnesses: From the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade: Kathryn McCallion, Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Services, Passport and Consular Affairs; James Wright, Assistant Deputy Minister, Portfolio: Global and Security Policy.
