Wednesday, March 22, 2000

The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Sarmite Bulte, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Sarmite Bulte, Murray Calder, Richard Marceau, Alex Shepherd, Bob Speller.

Acting Members present: Judy Sgro for Murray Calder

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg and Blayne Haggart, Research Officers.

Witnesses: From the Canadian Chamber of Commerce: Robert Keyes, Senior Vice-President, International. From the Canadian Wine Institute: Roger Randolph, President.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) a study on Canada's economic relations with Europe.

Robert Keyes and Roger Randolf each made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 4:50 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
