The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Joseph Volpe, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Réginald Bélair, Gilles Bernier, John Duncan, Tony Ianno, Carolyn Parrish, Werner Schmidt, Guy St-Julien and Joseph Volpe.
Acting Members present: Pat Martin for Yvon Godin
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Grant Purves, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Canada Post Corporation: The Hon. André Ouellet, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Pursuant to Standing Order 110(1), the Committee proceeded to the consideration of the Order in Council Appointment of the Hon. André Ouellet as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canada Post Corporation. (Sessional Paper No. 8540-362-6-4).
The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 4:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
