ORDERED, -- That Bill C-32, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on February 28, 2000, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Finance.

The Chair called Clause 1.

The Parliamentary Secretary made an opening statement and, with other witnesses from the Department of Finance, Human Resources Development Canada and the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, answered questions.

At 4:53 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
