The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met at 12:07 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Brent St. Denis, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Réginald Bélair, Gerry Byrne, Roy Cullen, Pierre de Savoye, John Duncan, Yvon Godin, Tony Ianno, Marlene Jennings, Ben Serré, Brent St. Denis.
Acting Member present: Gerald Keddy for Gilles Bernier.
Other member present: Larry McCormick.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages; Researcher.
Appearing: The Hon. Lyle Vanclief, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food.
Witnesses: From the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food: Michelle Comeau, Associate Deputy Minister.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), follow-up to the Government's response to the "Think Rural" Report.
The Minister made a statement and answered questions.
At 1:05 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
