The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met at 11:05 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 371, West Block, the Chair, Brent St. Denis, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Réginald Bélair, Roy Cullen, Pierre de Savoye, Jocelyne Girard-Bujold, Ovid L. Jackson, Jerry Pickard, Carmen Provenzano, Ben Serré and Brent St. Denis.
Substitute Members present: Bill Gilmour for Darrel Stinson, Yvan Grose for Gerry Byrne.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages, Research Officer.
Appearing: The Honourable Andy Mitchell, Secretary of State (Parks).
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), briefing session on the "Think Rural" Report.
The Minister made a statement and answered questions.
