The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met at 3:30 o’clock p.m., this day, in room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Brent St. Denis, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Réginald Bélair, Gilles Bernier, Jocelyne Girard-Bujold, Jim Gouk, Ovid L. Jackson, Jerry Pickard, Ben Serré, and Brent St. Denis.
Substitute Members present: Réjean Lefebvre, Guy Saint-Julien, and Angela Vautour.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Jack Stilborn, Research Officer.
Appearing: The Honourable Alfonso Gagliano, Minister of Public Works and Government Services. Responsible for the Canada Post Corporation.
Witness: From the Canada Post Corporation: Georges Clermont, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), consideration of the mandate of the Canada Post Corporation.
The Minister made a presentation and, with the witness, answered questions.
At 5:07 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
