The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 9:15 a.m. o'clock this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, André Bachand, John Cannis, Maud Debien, The Hon. Sheila Finestone, Bill Graham, Bernard Patry, Jerry Pickard, Julian Reed, Bob Speller, Daniel Turp.
Acting Members present: Chuck Strahl for Bob Mills; Deepak Obhrai for Charlie Penson; Keith Martin for Darrel Stinson.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: James Lee; Gerald Schmitz, Researchers. From the Translation Bureau, Parliamentary Documents, Public Works and Government Services Canada: Michel Boissonneault, Translator.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its examination of Canada's policy on nuclear non-proliferation, arms control and disarmament. (See Minutes of Proceedings of February 3, 1998, Meeting No. 22.)
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
At 10:54 a.m. o'clock, the sitting was suspended.
At 11:03 a.m. o'clock, the sitting was resumed.
At 12:00 p.m. o'clock, the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
