The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, Jean Augustine, André Bachand, Colleen Beaumier, John Cannis, Maud Debien, Bill Graham, Bob Mills, Bernard Patry, Jerry Pickard, Julian Reed, Svend Robinson, Bob Speller.
Acting Member present: Gurmant Grewal for Charlie Penson.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: James Lee; Gerald Schmitz, Researchers. From the Translation Bureau, Parliamentary Documents, Public Works and Government Services Canada: Michel Boissonneault, Translator.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its examination of Canada's policy on nuclear non-proliferation, arms control and disarmament. (See Minutes of Proceedings of February 3, 1998, Meeting No. 22.)
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
At 5:05 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
