The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 15:36 o’clock p.m., this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Clifford Lincoln, Mauril Bélanger, Pat O'Brien, Jacques Saada, Deepak Obhrai, Suzanne Tremblay and Mark Muise.

Acting Members present: Mac Harb for Joe Jordan; John Maloney for John Godfrey; Karen Redman for Dennis Mills; John Bryden for Paul Bonwick; Ian Murray for Sarmite Bulte

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Susan Alter, Research Officer. From the Committees and Legislative Services Directorate: Richard Dupuis, Legislative Clerk.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of the House dated Friday, April 3, 1998, a study of Bill C-38, An Act to amend the National Parks Act. (See Minutes of Proceedings and Evidence meetings #36, 37 and 38)
