TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 1998
The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 11:10 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Clifford Lincoln, Mauril Bélanger, Paul Bonwick, Sarmite Bulte, John Godfrey, Pat O'Brien, Jacques Saada, Jim Pankiw and Caroline St-Hilaire.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Susan Alter and Sonya Dakers, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From Jasper Tourism & Commerce: Roy C. Everest, Secretary. From the Association For Mountain Parks Protection Enjoyment: Brad J. Pierce, President.
Pursuant to its Order of Reference of the House dated Thursday, March 19, 1998. The Committee commenced consideration of Bill C-29, An Act to establish the Canadian Parks Agency and to amend other Acts as a consequence.
Brad Pierce and Roy Everest made opening statements and answered questions.
At 12:30 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
