THURSDAY, APRIL 2, 1998
The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 11:10 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 308, West Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Clifford Lincoln, Mauril Bélanger, Paul Bonwick, John Godfrey, Pat O'Brien, Jacques Saada, Jim Abbott, Suzanne Tremblay, Wendy Lill and Mark Muise.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Susan Alter and Sonya Dakers, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From CBC: Perrin Beatty, President and CEO; James McCoubrey, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer; and Louise Tremblay, Senior Vice-President Resources.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on Canadian Culture.
Perrin Beatty made opening statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 1:10 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
