MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

(Meeting No. 24)

TUESDAY, MARCH 24, 1998

The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 11:05 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Clifford Lincoln, Mauril Bélanger, Paul Bonwick, John Godfrey, Jacques Saada and Suzanne Tremblay.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: René Lemieux and Susan Alter, Research Officers.

Witnesses: From Telefilm Canada: Robert Dinan, Q.C., Chair of the Board of Directors and François Macerola, Executive Director.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on Canadian Culture.

Robert Dinan made an opening statement and, with François Marcerola, answered questions.

At 1:07 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
