The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

At 5:15 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:19 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motions adopted by the committee on Monday, November 21, 2022, the committee prioritize the study of the National Housing Strategy; that, in the context of the consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2022-23, the committee invite the Minister for Employment, Workforce Development, and Disability Inclusion, the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, the Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion, the Minister of Labour, and the Minister of Seniors to appear before the committee prior to the adjournment of the House in December; and that, in the context of the consideration of Bill C-22, An Act to reduce poverty and to support the financial security of persons with disabilities by establishing the Canada disability benefit and making a consequential amendment to the Income Tax Act, the deadline for the submission of amendments be no later than Friday, December 2, 2022, at noon (EST) and that the committee commence clause-by-clause consideration of the Bill on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)d) and the Centennial Flame Research Award Act, the committee commenced its study of the 2022 Centennial Flame Research Award.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee resumed its study of labour shortages, working conditions and the care economy.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 6:37 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
