The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the deadline for accepting briefs for the study of Bill C-277, An Act to establish a national strategy on brain injuries, and Bill C-368, An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (natural health products), be Thursday, September 19, 2024.

It was agreed, — That the committee schedule five meetings on Tuesdays for the study of the opioid epidemic and toxic drug crisis in Canada over the next five weeks.

It was agreed, — That the committee hold five meetings on Bill C-368, An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (natural health products).

It was agreed, — That the committee dedicate three hours of meeting time to the study of Bill C-277, An Act to establish a national strategy on brain injuries.

It was agreed, — That the deadline for members to submit witness lists in relation to the study of Bill C-277, An Act to establish a national strategy on brain injuries, and Bill C-368, An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (natural health products), be Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, April 11, 2024, the committee resumed its study of breast cancer screening guidelines.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 1:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
