Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 22, 2020, the committee resumed a briefing on the current situation in Nigeria.

Chukwuyem Imahiagbe made a statement and answered questions.

At 7:20 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 7:28 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, the subcommittee proceeded to a briefing on the current situation in Zimbabwe.

Tsitsi Gadza, Roy Gombiro and Makanaka Kujeke made statements and answered questions.

At 8:12 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 8:15 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That members submit their witnesses lists for the study of the impact of COVID-19 on displaced persons, with a focus on displaced persons from Venezuela and Myanmar, to the clerk no later than Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

It was agreed, — That the Hon. Bob Rae, Amnesty International, CARE Canada, Doctors without Borders, Islamic Relief and OBAT Canada be invited to appear on the study of the impact of COVID-19 on displaced persons, with a focus on displaced persons from Venezuela and Myanmar on Thursday, November 26, 2020.

It was agreed, — That the analysts prepare statements for the situation in Zimbabwe and the situation in Nigeria.

At 8:34 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
