The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met by teleconference at 9:06 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N Centre Block, the Chair, Rob Anders, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Rodger Cuzner, Roger Gaudet, Hon. Albina Guarnieri, Betty Hinton, Gilles-A. Perron, Bev Shipley, Brent St. Denis, David Sweet and Roger Valley.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Gerontological Advisory Council: Victor Marshall, Chair.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the following witnesses:

National Council of Veteran Associations: H. Cliff Chadderton, Chief Executive Officer

Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada: John Thompson, Dominion President

be invited to appear on Tuesday May 1st, 2007 in relation to the study on Bill C-287, An Act respecting a National Peacekeepers' Day Veterans.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, May 16 2006, the Committee resumed its study on the Veterans Independence Programme and Health Care Review.
 

Dr. Victor Marshall made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 10:56 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
