The Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration met at 1:05 p.m. this day, in Regina at the Radisson Plaza Hotel Saskatchewan in the Regency Ballroom, the Acting Chair, David Price, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: David Price, Lynne Yelich.
Acting Member present: Andrew Telegdi for Joe Fontana.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Benjamin Dolin, Researcher.
WITNESSES: From the Government of Saskatchewan: The Hon. Ron Osika, Minister of Government Relations & Aboriginal Affairs, Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly; Brent Cotter, Deputy Minister. From Immigrant, Refugee and Visible Minority Women of Saskatchewan: Francisca Omorodion, President.
At 1:05 p.m. David Price took the chair, pursuant to a motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, November 5, 2002.
Pursuant to Standing
Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on Provincial/Territorial Nominee
Programs (See Minutes of Proceedings, Monday, February 10, 2003, Meeting No.
18).
The Hon. Ron Osika made a
statement and, with Brent Cotter, answered questions.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on Settlement and Integration Programs (see Minutes of Proceedings, Monday, February 10, 2003, Meeting No. 20).

Pursuant to its Order of Reference of Friday, November 8, 2002, the Committee resumed debate on Clause 2, consideration of Bill C-18, An Act respecting Canadian citizenship (see Minutes of Proceedings, Thursday, November 21, 2002, Meeting No. 6).
Francisca Omorodion made a statement and answered questions.
At 3:00p.m., the Committee adjourned until Friday, February 14, 2003.
