COMMITTEE EVIDENCE
Tuesday, February 19, 2002
[Recorded by Electronic Apparatus]
Á (1120)
[English]
The Chair (Mr. Raymond Bonin (Nickel Belt, Lib.)): We'll call the meeting to order for a few seconds so you'll know the message I'll be sharing with you.
The three witnesses we had expected to hear today...[Inaudible—Editor]...have chosen not to appear. I'm sure you have other things to do.
A voice: Right.
The Chair: Thank you very much. And to you camera people, I'm sorry about this.
A voice: We're paid by the hour, so I'll hang around.
Miss Deborah Grey (Edmonton North, PC/DR): Can I just ask a question? Does this mean they go to the bottom of the order here for speaking? Are they just out of luck, or what's the story?
The Chair: We will continue with our schedule for this week and next week. After that we have a week's break back in the riding. Before we leave for the break, you will decide who you want to invite for the week we come back. You may want to re-invite, which probably would be a good thing to do.
Miss Deborah Grey: Perhaps you would be a bit gun shy about the same invitation.
The Chair: We will deal with that before we go on the week in the riding.
Miss Deborah Grey: Sure.
The Chair: Anything else?
We're adjourned. Thank you.
